PENTECOST 18 - Philippians 3:4b-14; Matthew 21:33-46

The apostle Paul was a Pharisee who would have been among those who opposed Jesus to his face. Nevertheless, this "hardcore" Jewish man and teacher and leader found himself giving his allegiance to Jesus later in his life. He spoke of the "surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord" as being his motivation for inviting others to consider Jesus for themselves.

What have you discovered is the value of knowing Christ in your life? Can you see how others might benefit from this same value?
