LENT 4 - 2 Corinthians 5:16-21; Luke 15:1-3, 11b-32

The Parable of the Prodigal Son is one of the best-known of the stories Jesus told to make a point about God. And it is a wonderful thing to see ourselves in the parable and understand God's unconditional love for us, just as the father in the story loves his wayard son. However, we tend to focus on the one son and forget that the father has two. In this sermon, Rev Derwyn invites us to see ourselves as the self-rightous elder of the two sons and come to understand how God's love is shown to us in the midst of the darkness that we think is light.
