PENTECOST 9 - Isaiah 1:1, 10-20; Luke 12: 32-40

In Derwyn’s absence parishioner Margaret Hogarth uses today’s readings to explain how the leaders of Isaiah’s time were accused of using their religion to take advantage of the people. We can benefit from occasionally asking ourselves if our worship remains acceptable to God. Are we truly engaged with heart and mind or just going through the motions. How in line with my Sunday words are my Monday actions? And how to we keep our worship pure? Keep on task. Keep going about God’s business as his agents reflecting God’s loving, gracious, forgiving, and generous nature.
