CHRISTMAS EVE - Leviticus 12:1-8; Luke 2:1-40

Perhaps it is somewhat understandable, but when we portray the events of Jesus's birth, we tend to romanticize, sanitize, and sanctify them so much that his birth becomes something unreal. And yet it was the very reality of that human experience that made his birth what is known as the incarnation; God said Yes to the physical and the material. Embracing the fact that God fully embraced our human existence is key to seeing things in a way that enables us to live into all that Jesus taught.
