"Listen to Him!"

The transfiguration event is a hinge point in the story of Jesus. The cloud that enveloped him and three of his apostles is reminiscent of Moses going to Mount Sinai in the book of Exodus. And the voice that came from the cloud, clearly understood to be the voice of God, stated the response one should have to Jesus: "Listen to him."
