In this second of two sermons on the book of Revelation, Rev Derwyn asserts that the main reason we find the book difficult to approach is not because of its symbolism or visionary language, but because we tend to think it is something talking about our future and it does so with a regressive theology. If we treat this book for what it is, a letter meant to encourage first-century Christians undergoing persecution from the Roman empire, we can better manage what it says.
