HOLY SATURDAY - Excerpts from Mark 11:1-16:8 in eight readings.

The Great Vigil of Easter on Holy Saturday is characterized by several readings outlining the "history of salvation" in the Bible, starting with Genesis and moving through to the Gospels. This year, however, Rev Derwyn decided to walk us through the final week of Jesus's life as described in the Gospel of Mark, which is the only Gospel to indicate something happening on each day from Palm Sunday to Easter Sunday.

Inspired by the 2008 book, "The Last Week," authored by Marcus Borg and John Dominic Crossan, Rev Derwyn explores the "silence of Saturday" and delves deeper into how the early church developed an understanding of what happened that day.

NOTE: The sermon itself begins at the 19:15 mark. Rev Derwyn had forgotten to turn on his headset mic initially, so the sound of the first 8 minutes of the sermon is not as good as it should be.
