Rev Derwyn has been away for the past three months, two of which were spent serving in his capacity as military chaplain in the Canadian Armed Forces. In this sermon, he brings some perspective to the ethical challenge of Christians serving in the military, what it is that a chaplain does in the CAF, and he addresses the recently released public prayer policy.
In the 22nd minute of the video, he lists the different kinds of chaplains serving the CAF at present and unfortunately forgot to mention our first Indigenous Knowledge Keeper Chaplain in that list. He does mention Captain Robert-Falcon Ouellette specifically in the 28th minute of the video, but regrets having left him out in the first list.
