Wisdom, Logos, Christ and the Christian Life

In the wisdom literature of the Hebrew Bible, wisdom is said to be the first of God's creative acts before the world and everything in it was created. About a thousand years later, the writer of the Gospel of John sees fit to connect that wisdom tradition with the Greek philosophy of the Logos and apply it to Christ Jesus. This means that wisdom is an integral part of what Jesus represents and an essential part of what followers of Christ ought to display.
