At about the 8:00 mark, Rev Derwyn refers to an analogy he wishes to use to make a point and goes on to refer to a pancake recipe that had been distributed to the congregation during the Children's Time at the beginning of the service. Here is that recipe:
Costinak Family Pancake Recipe*
1 cup milk
1 egg
1 tablespoon sugar
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
Mix all ingredients together until well blended.
Cook on a hot greased griddle until nicely browned.
Turn only once.
Yield 8-10 pancakes
