ADVENT 4 - Psalm 89:1-4; Romans 16:25-27; Luke 1:26-38

When Jesus told his disciples that he would be leaving them, he promised that they would receive empowerment by the Holy Spirit. What would this empowerment be for, except to do something with it?

In our waiting for the birth of Jesus on Christmas Day, we also recognize that we're waiting for his second coming. And when he comes again, he will complete the work he began 2000 years ago, work that we have been doing in his name to see the will of God fulfilled. This sermon explores how what we do and what Jesus will do come together in one purpose.
