The Stations of the Cross is a traditional meditative journey through Jesus's suffering. Over the centuries, churches have used this practice as a means to engage more fully with Jesus and what he accomplished for our sakes. Our practice over the years has been to use the Stations of the Cross as a guide to prayer, and in recent years have done so with an original collection of art pieces to represent each station. We gather together in the Lower Hall and work our way from station to station as a group. At each station, a short devotional will be read by the priest to establish the theme and then a member of the group will lead us into a litany of prayer based on that theme. Many who have participated in the past will tell you that it is a profound time of meditation and prayer.
