The Stations of the Cross is a traditional meditative journey through Jesus's suffering. Over the centuries, churches have used this practice as a means to engage more fully with Jesus and what he accomplished for our sakes. Our practice over the years has been to use the Stations of the Cross as a guide to prayer. We gather together in the Lower Hall and work our way from station to station as a group. At each station, a short devotional will be read by the priest to establish the theme and then a member of the group will lead us into a litany of prayer based on that theme. Many who have participated in the past will tell you that it is a profound time of meditation and prayer.
