REIGN OF CHRIST - Isaiah 36:1-3, 13-20; 37:1-7; Matthew 5:13-16

Twenty years after the fall of the northern kingdom of Israel to the Assyrians, King Sennacherib of Assyria decided to finish the job and attack the southern kingdom of Judah. Isaiah 36 and 37 provides an account of this episode in history, which is also echoed in 2 Kings 18 and 19 (and summarized in 2 Chronicles 32). What are we to make of this account? How are we to apply it to our lives today?
