Our liturgy for Good Friday tends to push us toward the resurrection too quickly. The reason is simple; the crucifixion of Jesus Christ is nothing special without the proclamation of the resurrection to give it meaning. But if we view the observance of Holy Week as a journey through Jesus's final days, what can we do with Friday without mentally hurrying to Sunday?
