We're pleased to partner with the Bow River Handbell Musicians Society and their director, Annie Hergott. Three of their choirs rehearse regularly at Good Shepherd, and information about them along with audition information can be found by emailing bowriverbells@gmail.com or by visiting bowriverhandbells.ca. Their rehearsal schedule can be found below:

Bow River Bells
Rehearsals: Mondays, 5:00-7:00pm
An advanced ensemble, Bow River Bells begins at Level 4 and goes from there. Solo and ensemble ringing, choreography, memorized pieces, and some fiendishly difficult music all add to the challenge for experienced players. Open by invitation or audition.

Bell Époque
Rehearsals: Mondays, 7:00-9:00pm
An adult performing group at an intermediate to advanced skill level, Bell Époque plays a wide range of music in a concert setting, from Level 2 to Level 4 difficulty.
Fun and vibrant, it’s the largest group in the BRHMS family and is open to players with a bit of handbell experience as well as seasoned bell veterans.

Elbow River Bells
Rehearsals: Thursdays, 2:00-3:30pm
A small ensemble dedicated to mobility, taking our music out into the community. Busking in public areas, playing at seniors’ homes, providing holiday music for weary shoppers, Elbow River Bells is out and about in the Calgary area. The music is mostly short, fairly easy pieces that can be played with just 12 bells.
